Mollymook is the perfect holiday destination with great beaches and renowned restaurants. Do nothing or get out there for a game of golf, learn to surf, sit back at our local winery Cupitts for the afternoon or a spot of shopping at Milton’s boutique stores.
We stayed here over the June long weekend. It was a lovely apartment set close enough to the sea to hear the surf breaking at night. The unit is well... read more appointed on two levels so may not suit people with mobility issues. We self catered but did have a problem with the oven as just could not work out how to use it. There were a stack of appliance manuals in a bottom drawer but not one we could find for the oven. We managed to turn it on but had to call the duty manager to turn it off. Even he didn't know and turned off the oven power instead. I was disappointed with the bed too which I'm sure was more a double than a queen and was bouncy so whenever my partner moved I bounced. However the cafe downstairs was a bonus for a great morning coffee. Overall it was decent value for a long weekend and a nice enough place in a great location.
Booked a night at Breakers through Wotif. This was a Sunday night on a long weekend (well, for ACT anyway) at the start of the school holidays. It... read more was marketed as 'no kids', surprising given the decent sixed two bedroom apartment (if you book one, the second is locked off - so no scope for cheating there) and proximity to the beach at Mollymook. I was also worried about noise from other guests (block of seven units), car noise (located on a main street) and the cafe (located below the apartments).
These concerns proved unfounded. The room was spacious, well appointed, reasonably clean (toe nail clipping on the carpet in front of the lounge suite, indicating that the vaccuuming wasn't as thorough as it could be), very comfortable and quiet. The room we stayed in had a spa bath in a huge bathroom. The apartment is also fully self-contained, with a full kitchen (stove/oven, dishwaasher, microwave, fridge) and there was nothing I could think of that the apartment didn't have - even down to a corkscrew (it's amazing how many places don't have one). There is even a 32" flat screen digital TV and DVD player in the lounge and a smaller one in the bedroom, along with a small selection of movies.
We stayed here on a mild day at the start of spring and, with north facing rooms, the main bedroom would probably get quite hot in summer. But that shouldn't be a worry as the apartment has both ceiling fans and split system air conditioning.
Location wise, you are within 50m of the Mollymook Beach and the Mollymook Golf Club. The Breakers Cafe is located in front and beneath the apartments and they do serve breakfast and lunch (although they open a bit late for us early risers). It's also close to both Milton and Ulladulla.
We didn't eat at any of the local restaurants/cafes, choosing to take the few minutes to wander in to the nearby village of Milton - Milton Woodfired Pizzas is an excellent and affordable family friendly and BYO pizzeria (take it easy on the servings, a small pizza is actually quite large). We also ate at Pilgrim's Cafe (great food and drinks, though the service when you order leaves a bit to be desired).
This is a very comfortable centrally located property right at Mollymook Beach. Large unit (#6) on two levels offered a comfy queen bed, well equipped kitchen and bathroom and delightful... read more views of the beach. Excellent playground amenities opposite, and an on site cafe for breakfast. Good parking underneath. Spotlessly clean; big balconies. The downside has nothing to do with the property.....it’s the terrible highway traffic congestion throughout this area at peak holiday times. Would recommend you visit outside of these dates! Otherwise, a great spot.
Loved this one bed duplex apartment- attention to detail is impressive. Michael took our booking and checked us in - was very welcoming. Bed very comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Clothes... read more washing facilities in the apartment too. Loved that there was salt and pepper as well as tea bags and milk. The apartment was very spacious with views to the beach. A beautiful spot. And a great place to stay.
We also visited Rick Steins Bannisters- rather underwhelming.
